Can I Book Rawdah for an Elderly Parent Without Their Own Phone?

Can I Book Rawdah for an Elderly Parent?

Yes, you can manage a Rawdah booking for an elderly parent through Nusuk’s group-booking feature. However, under the current official process, your parent still needs their own Nusuk account and must approve being added to your visitor group.

Nusuk currently allows one person to manage a group of up to four other visitors for a Rawdah booking. The group organizer then confirms the booking for everyone. Nusuk Portal

Does My Parent Need to Make the Booking Themselves?

No.

You can act as the group organizer.

In Nusuk’s Rawdah booking service, you can select “Add Group” and include other visitors. Once they approve being added through their own Nusuk accounts, you can manage the appointment for the group. Nusuk Portal

This is especially useful for elderly parents who are not comfortable navigating apps themselves.

Do They Need Their Own Smartphone?

The official Nusuk guidance says each visitor needs to approve being added through their Nusuk account. It does not currently describe a completely account-free or phone-free Rawdah booking route. Nusuk Portal

So if your parent does not use a smartphone, do not wait until you arrive at the Rawdah entrance to solve the problem.

Before travelling:

  • create or check their Nusuk account
  • make sure their identity details are correct
  • confirm that they can access the account
  • test the group-booking process

If you cannot complete the approval, contact official Nusuk support rather than using an unofficial seller.

How Many Family Members Can I Add?

Current Nusuk guidance allows a group organizer to add up to four visitors to one visitor group. Nusuk Portal

The organizer is responsible for confirming the Rawdah appointment for the whole group.

This can make family travel much easier when one person is managing arrangements for parents or relatives.

Will My Parent Need Their Own QR Code?

Yes.

After the Rawdah booking is confirmed, an entry QR code is generated. Nusuk says the entry code is used for the visit and is valid for one entry. Nusuk Portal

Keep the booking accessible before going to Masjid an-Nabawi.

Do not rely only on memory or a verbal explanation from another traveler.

What If My Parent Cannot Use the App at All?

Arrange the booking before the visit and contact Nusuk support if account approval becomes difficult.

Do not buy somebody else’s appointment or QR code as a shortcut.

The official Rawdah booking service is provided through Nusuk and is free. My Government

Our guide on what to do when no Rawdah slots show on Nusuk can also help if appointment availability is the main issue.

What If My Parent Has Mobility Problems?

Rawdah booking and mobility support are separate issues.

Masjid an-Nabawi currently provides free manual wheelchairs and golf carts for elderly visitors, people with disabilities and patients. Nusuk Portal
