Why Might My Hotel Not Appear on Nusuk?
There can be several reasons.
For example:
- you booked through an external hotel website
- your visa route does not use the same Nusuk package system
- the hotel is not included in your available Nusuk inventory
- the accommodation has not yet been linked to your Umrah package
- the hotel operates under a slightly different registered name
Nusuk currently allows pilgrims to search available Makkah and Madinah accommodation and complete hotel bookings through its accommodation services.
But not seeing your independently booked hotel in a consumer search does not by itself prove that the hotel does not legally exist or cannot accept visitors.
Does My Hotel Need to Be Linked to My Umrah Visa?
This depends on the way your visa is being issued.
Saudi Arabia’s current B2C Umrah visa system allows approved Umrah companies to create packages containing ground services and publish them through approved platforms.
The government also maintains a Pilgrim Accommodation Confirmation service that records the accommodation allocated within a pilgrim’s package.
So if you are travelling on a dedicated Umrah package or visa route that relies on linked accommodation, the hotel information may need to be properly recorded.
Ask the agent or service provider handling your visa:
“Is this exact hotel linked to my pilgrim program?”
Do not accept only:
“Don’t worry, it will be fine.”
What If I Booked Through Booking.com or Another Website?
Your first step should be to identify your visa type.
Rules for a dedicated Umrah visa can differ from the arrangements of someone entering Saudi Arabia on another eligible visa.
Saudi Arabia’s official guide states that visa issuance can take place through Nusuk Umrah, the Saudi Visa Platform for eligible nationalities, or an authorized external agent.
Therefore, do not copy advice from another pilgrim unless their passport and visa route are the same as yours.
How Can I Check What Accommodation Is Linked to My Umrah Programs?
Saudi Arabia currently provides an official Inquiry About Pilgrim Program service.
You can search using:
- passport number
- nationality
- visa number
to view the Umrah program and its service components.
This is much more useful than guessing from whether the hotel appears in a general search.
If the accommodation displayed there does not match what you were promised, contact your agent or service provider immediately.
What If the Hotel Has a Different Name on Nusuk?
Check carefully before assuming it is missing.
Some hotels may use:
- a formal registered name
- a shortened trading name
- an English spelling variation
- a different brand format
Compare the address as well as the hotel name.
If you still cannot identify it, contact the hotel directly and ask for its official registered name.

Should I Cancel My Existing Hotel?
Not immediately.
First verify:
- your visa type
- who is processing the visa
- which hotel is recorded in your pilgrim program
- whether your existing booking can be linked or accepted
- what your agent or Nusuk support confirms
Cancelling too early could mean losing a good rate unnecessarily.
But you also should not board your UK flight with an unresolved accommodation mismatch if the accommodation forms part of your official Umrah package.
What If My Agent Used a Different Hotel for the Visa?
Ask for a clear written explanation.
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah now emphasizes pilgrims’ rights relating to accommodation and compliance with contracted services.
Do not knowingly rely on accommodation information you understand to be false.
Ask the agent to confirm exactly:
- which hotel is registered
- which hotel you will actually stay in
- whether a change is permitted
- whether the accommodation is correctly linked to your program.
